Treasuring Honesty

It is important for our children to understand the value of honesty when they grow up. It is important for students to realize that telling lie would prevent us from helping them in the most inappropriate way. Given the environment and the growing competition, there is a temptation in students to act another way round than being honest. Read books based on Moral Stories:

One of the most effective ways to teach students about honesty is read books to them that focus on some moral stories. Stories that praise the character for being honest are a great way to teach students about honesty. We talk to students about the activities that are transpiring in the story and help them understand the importance of such stories.

Art Activities:

Use art to instil the value of honesty in the students. We make them draw a picture of how they would feel when someone is honest to them or when someone is not honest with them. This way they will learn about empathy and will be able to recognize different positive aspects and negative association of being dishonest.

Appreciate Students:

We appreciate our students for being honest. We praise them for being honest so that they should feel valued and good about themselves for being honest. Being honest will lead them to form a network of friends who they can trust and respect and this is the mutual benefit that they derive for being honest.

Little Care is All We Need

As a parent, we worry and fear for our kid's safety. Right from sending our kid to school to tugging them in their beds for sleep, parents are constantly stressing about their kid's well-being.

With the arrival of the winter season, we are twice as concerned about the health of our children. The food we pack for the lunch box or the clothes we buy to provide extra care to them becomes highly important. We keep in mind the tiniest details in order to upgrade their regular diet and protect them from any kind of illness.

All the vitamins and minerals that are needed for a child is given a lot of attention. For example, providing a child with a Vitamin C enriched diet is quite necessary because they don't get enough Sun. Soups give them warmth in the cold temperature and salads keep them healthy. Before you send them to school in the morning, just make sure they wear woollen gloves, warm socks and a cap that covers their forehead and ears. All of this is necessary because the kids have a week immune system and as they grow up they are still getting used to the cold winters. Furthermore, the lunchbox should be loaded with fruits and salads. Hence, the top CBSE schools in Dehradun take care of their students perfectly.

Find Your Child’s Learning Pattern

There are different ways to learn everything but it is never too hard not to.  They learn best by listening, looking or doing, which are also, know, as auditory, visual and kinesthetic.  At an early age, it’s the best time to grasp everything, easily. Once you discover which learning favors your child, you can help shape their education strategically along with the help of the school as well.

Observe your child in action- watch how your child expresses itself.

It may seem that children who are not paying attention because they are always trying to talk over you. They are most likely auditory learners. They have a tendency to read out loud instead of quietly listening.

Visual learners express themselves through emotions and facial expressions. They prefer watching others faces and understand better. Such a visual learner stores these images for future use.

Kinaesthetic learners express themselves through body language and are unable to keep their hands to themselves. These types of learners don’t worry about getting their hands dirty; they like to touch everything, including people and objects.

Consider their interests- A child’s primary learning also reflects in their interests.

For instance, at CBSE school in Dehradun, we understand auditory learners usually show interest in music and many remember the lyrics to their song, but struggle to remember what they just read in the book.

Visual learners have both interests in reading and watching television, due to the common thread of visual stimulation.

Children who look for interest in physical activities are kinesthetic learners. These types of learners enjoy games, but can’t sit still long enough to read.

See how they solve problems-kids tend to draw their strength through the attributes that correlate to problems.

As you may see them mumbling to themselves while doing their homework.  These kinds like to discuss and talk out their problems or situations.

Visual learners quickly notice if something is out of place by observing.
Learners who usually use their hands to solve math problems with their fingers.

We, one of the top CBSE schools in Dehradun believes to teach children in three perspectives to make understand better for children.

We all know how difficult it can be when they cry and stretch out to hug you so you don’t leave, it can be really hard for you to let go to that but don’t panic, your kid may grow to love it. It’s just that they don’t want to be there without you. The first thing you do is leave as calmly as you can and give your child a big hug and tell him you’ll pick him up after a nap or lunch just to console him that you’ll be around in a while.

How trained is your child for the bathroom? Make sure before they start preschool, you must potty train them. Otherwise, it could be really stressful for the helper and the kid.  So the best way could be by starting school early. Take your kid to school before it starts so that the place is no longer unfamiliar to them.  Admire new things; ensure the visit is very positive and happy.  Help children make friends by giving them cookies or cake so that they can attract friends automatically. Ask your child how their day was, what do they fear in the class so you can help boost their morale. Don’t send your kid by saying don’t worry, I’m sure you’ll make friends, you’re actually making him intimidated since it sends him a message that you expect him to do so.  Understand with him/her by saying, it's really scary going to a new school, right? How could we make it easier? Come up with answers to your own questions to make them speak up and comply with you.

How young is too young? | Tuition Culture

Kids need the best of both worlds while growing up. Physical activity is equally as important as academics. Being the best CBSE school in Dehradun, we understand that the early years of growing children have a great grasping power. Students, spend a lot of time at school, which is divided as such that the students are able to grasp the maximum and don’t even get exhausted. The studies are also not very tough and complex. Children should be involved in sports like tennis, squash, music classes, etc. These activities help students to move in more directions and discover new hobbies and feel free to explore different horizons. This helps them to challenge their curiosity and creativity to reveal their full potential.

We believe that the children should get some homework that they could revise and go through what they learned in the class under the guidance of their parents. The need for home tuitions should only emerge when your kids are having problems, learning some subject which even the parents are not able to help with, the best way to deal with such scenario is by getting in touch with teachers. We don’t want your child to feel confused and trap in such situations, observe your children and if you see signs of difficulty, it’s essential that these gaps don’t wisen up and then take the necessary action. It’s vital to make sure that the child isn’t feeling a burden, it is important to have free time and play for a child’s overall development. There is a chance that your child may lose interest at an early stage. To balance out these two things we need to divide them equally.

The right age to introduce private tuition is after 6th grade, that’s when most of the children might feel lost in, especially math. It is best to build up their interest before it’s too late. Such subjects can discourage them while choosing streams. We at the CBSE school in Dehradun, understand that the students should be confident enough and prepared to know what they want and what they don’t like. So that it is easier for them to decide their career, and follow their heart.

Experiencing What We Read in Books

Knowledge can be found at every corner around us, be it books, flora and fauna, nature and our surroundings. We just need that insight to learn what our surroundings are trying to teach us. Students should be taught about their surroundings. We being one of  the Best Dehradun Schools believe, nature gives us practical knowledge, something which leaves a long-lasting impact. This is why we encourage field trips. Books give students theoretical knowledge and field trips make them practically sound. Field trips help students to experience what they read about in books. There are various types of field trips like science field trip, history field trip, environmental field trip, cultural field trip and fun field trip.

Each trip has its own significance and learning. Where a science trip makes students experience the magic of science live, historical trips help them to visit historical places and see the wonders of our history. An environmental trip makes the students aware of their environment while a cultural trip illuminates them about their and other students’ culture. This helps in boosting their friendships and makes them stronger socially. “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” and so to rejuvenate our students’ energy we take them on a fun-filled ride. These trips help them to relax and make their bonds stronger.

Another important factor of these trips is that they give students a better understanding of what they read in books. When they visualize a certain process, it gets retained in their mind. They will remember it through their experiences. Field trips also encourage students to think further and develop their concepts related to it. Studies show that students who visit places they read about in books and practical experience the contents of their study, perform better. This is what reflects in our students.

At The Heritage School – North Campus, one of the top 10 schools in Dehradun, we encourage our students to explore the world because the world out there is full of wisdom and enlightenment.

How Heritage Helps in Personality Development from a Young Age

Young children are like raw mud, they can be molded and shaped in the best way possible. At The Heritage School - North Campus, we are the best school in Dehradun, and we firmly believe that the primary years that a child spends at school, and the kind of environment and guidance that she gets there, is a key determining factor in shaping the personality for the rest of the life. Owing to this belief, we make it a point to inculcate the best character traits in the young children from the early age itself, giving the right direction to their personality.

Here are few ways that the Heritage North Campus does that:

Seeding Leadership

Here, we see a young leader in each of our students, and we help them realize all of them their leadership potential and capabilities. For that, we organize several group activities, team games, sports and more, where they get to be in the shoes of a leader in the true sense.

Shaping Team Players

In today’s competitive environment, being a leader is not what is always required. One has to know how to be a good team player as well. Education is a Journey, Not a Destination

Education is a very significant part of a person’s life. It is something that determines the entire course and direction of the future - the presence of quality education can make a person’s life, while the absence of it can break a person’s life. However, it is important to understand the true meaning and significance of education. While most people know that education is important, but their attitude and approach towards education is flawed. Things they want to achieve through education are often materialistic and non-consequential.

At The Heritage School – North Campus, we are amongst the Top CBSE Schools in Dehradun, and we not only impart the best quality of education to our students but also help them understand the appreciate the purpose of education.

What Education is not

-    A ticket to earning tonnes of money and becoming rich & powerful.
-    The best way to land a good job and live a dignified life.
-    It’s about passing the examinations, getting good grades and earning degrees.
-    It’s about grasping from the books, as much as you can.

What Education actually is about

-    Opening up the mind and exposing it to new and incredible ideas.
-    Learning new skills and using them to have an impact.
-    Developing compassion and love for others.
-    Being knowledgeable and well-aware.
-    Living an impactful life and being able to make a difference.

The idea of education has evidently deteriorated over the years. From being a pursuit of knowledge and wisdom, education today is certainly considered as a guaranteed ticket to jobs, hefty paychecks, riches and a great lifestyle. However, it is important to understand that all of these are merely the byproducts of education, and should never be the purpose or motivation of a student going to school daily for education.  The purpose of education for the students should be to become knowledgeable, learned and wise individuals who are also wonderful human beings. Education, at The Heritage - Best School in Dehradun, is not a destination, it's a life-long journey.

Promoting Competition
At The Heritage – best School in Dehradun, we always make it a point to ignite a spirit of competition amongst the students. We believe that it is very important to be competitive in today’s world of globalization. We regularly organize contests, quizzes, etc. for our students so that they get abundant opportunities to test where they stand in the competitive environment.

Activity-based Teaching

The regular classroom teaching, we believe, is not the best way to impart holistic skills to the students. Therefore, we often try to integrate activities into the curriculum based teaching. When the youngsters get to paint in the science class and cut & paste in the maths class, they learn a slew of new skills in a seamless and fun way.

Sports & Outdoors

We also take our students out on a regular basis. This opens up their minds to new and exciting concepts like nothing else and shapes their thoughts in a very refined fashion. Sports, at the same time, help students a skill set that is vital to growth in life. Through sports, students of The Heritage learn attributes like teamwork, leadership, discipline, pressure handling and decision making.
