Honoring The Bond Of Friendship

Friendship is the most important thing in one’s life. We do not choose our families, but we definitely choose our friends. It is one of the most cherished relationship which has mutual affection with each other. It is more of an association and interpersonal equated with one another. We feel that the meaning of friendship differs from age to age, person to person and community to community.

Ours is a primary school and we feel proud when we hear that we are often called as the one of the best CBSE School in Dehradun. Friendship  in children is more focused on certain parameters like  common activities, sharing, playing in groups, eating together, close proximity to location and shared expectations.

As per the recent statistics from teachers and mothers, 75% of  pre-school  children have at least one good friend. When we talk about learning or imparting learning to these young minds, friendship has a somewhere a major role to play. Students get an opportunity to learn with empathy. They make the classrooms more enjoyable and learning more fun. When planning any activity for our students, we ensure that we prepare a group activity for kids because that will make the learning more participative and engaged and moreover the students will be learning with their friends and will gain knowledge from each other.

Adding  another aspect, friends in school help the students to feel confident  in their own skin. There are times when students are less apprehensive to talk about their fears or weaknesses  to their teachers or parents. During this time, they look for their friends who act as their confidante and they feel comfortable to talk about their inhibition.

We at The Heritage School –North Campus encourages all our students to celebrate friendship day and honor their friends with love, affection and gifts so that they make them feel special and the bond is cherished for the times to come.

Ranked among top CBSE Schools in Dehradun, we feel it is our responsibility to inculcate moral values also in our students and make them understand the importance of small occasions can actually make a big difference in their lives.
