Education Leads to Awareness

The general definition of the word, Awareness is having knowledge or information about a certain situation and then being able to perceive it based on one’s previously acquired knowledge. For the fair overall perception of a situation, one needs to have a complete understanding of all the facts a situation stems from. However, possessing half or incomplete knowledge is considered more harmful than having no knowledge at all. As Alexander Pope rightly said, “A little learning is a dangerous thing.”The Heritage School North Campus, top CBSE Schools in Dehradun, believes that in order to be fully aware of things in a fruitful manner, a person needs to be educated.

Education is a process where educators pass on the knowledge they’ve accumulated to the students. But, our society has certain norms when it comes to education, according to which a child is enrolled in a school at a young age for primary schooling which then goes up till college or university level. However, education is not age-specific. Any individual should be able to take up learning whenever they desire to do so, as the ultimate purpose of educating people is to make them aware. It’s also not necessary that education is imparted just in the classrooms of an institution, self-education is on the rise.

The most important factor in education is that a person should feel the need and the desire to educate himself. One must understand that the sole purpose of educating oneself isn’t just to secure lucrative jobs, but also to make themselves aware of everything happening around them. Education is the utmost necessity to expand the intellectual horizons of a person. Educated individuals are aware of their rights as a citizen, and much other information that can benefit them throughout their lives. At The Heritage School, CBSE School in Dehradun, education is the answer to being aware of the self and the world one lives in.
