Responsiveness
The
engagement in the process of learning is the ‘noticing’ phase. It recognizes
and deals with the levels of understanding of the learner, his/her awareness or
recognition of the activity which determines the degree of responsiveness.
Curiosity
The
process involving further exploration or retreat by the learners lies in
determining curiosity generated in them. Try questioning yourself with
something like “do you feel the desire of a learner to explore further?” and
how does the learner display his/her curiosity i.e. by raising questions.
Discovery
This
revolves around if the learner demonstrates discovery skills within an activity
or the process of learning. To incur if there is an element of realization or
surprise within the learner’s application and interpretation process.
Persistence
The
learner must demonstrate a continued effort within the occurrence of the
activity. It usually involves activities that include overcoming of
difficulties or conditions that usually make the learners disengage from
learning.
Initiation
This
involves whether the learner is able to express his/her initiation to take up
something new. If the learners are keen on expressing their urge to try
something new he/she has developed an interest in the key area and thus
initiates to grow and learn further.
